Are you curious if you have the time to bake homemade Christmas cookies this year? Each year at this time we start getting all a bit of panic, that the Holidays come quickly and we are not really finished. Here are a few little known tips and tricks, for almost every type of cookie, to help you make the most of the time spend baking.

Cutout cookies

Do not struggle with dough sticking to your rolling pin. Instead, roll your dough between two sheets of wax paper. This prevent the adhesion problem.

They seem to dry out your cutout cookies always, tough and tasteless? The trick with the waxed paper will help. Provided that you start with a good recipe, the problem is that you review your dough and working conditions are too much flour into it. With the wax paper will help the dough to manipulate less, and the dough will not pick up extra flour.

Refrigerator (icebox) cookies and wind turbines

Then when you press the cookies on the frozen sheet, The dough is sticking to the tongue like a cold iron sticks, if you (lick, provided you have ever been stupid enough to try this).

Do not forget your mistakes and you can put them back in the press.

Bar Cookies

If So Bar cookies, create a liner for your baking Turn the pan upside down and it with aluminum foil and make sure that form around the corners and leaving an overhang of an inch or two. Then remove the foil, turn the pan right side up, turn the foil and place it in the pan. It is a perfect food for your pan. If this is required by your recipe, grease the liner. Then continue baking your bar cookies as directed. Once baked, you can lift the entire batch of bars and cool completely on a wire rack. You can then immediately use your baking pan for another batch without waiting to cool to the previous batch, and you do not need to wash the pan.

All Cookies

Eliminate the need to grease your baking sheets and wash them later interpretation of them lining with parchment paper. Parchment paper can be reused several times and excellent results.

Do you have your cookies seem to brown too much or cook too quickly? Buy a reliable oven thermometer and check Your oven temperature. The oven's internal thermometer may not be accurate. Or maybe you have a non-stick baking sheet or pan. The dark color of the nonstick coating can make your baked goods brown too fast. Try a shiny metal pan instead or lower your oven temperature by 25 degrees.

Are your cookies not browned enough, or taking too long to cook? Also check the oven temperature. Or perhaps you are using an insulated baking sheet or pan. Insulated bakeware you can make your cookies from reaching prevent the desired temperature in the correct amount of time. Do not try it with an insulated pan, or with your oven temperature by 25 degrees.
