Where to Get an Expedited Passport Photo

If you need an expedited passport, you can’t afford to make any mistakes that might delay your application. In addition to filling out your application carefully and double-checking to make sure you have included all of the appropriate documents, you also need to make sure that your passport photo meets the standards set by the US Department of State. That means you shouldn’t try to take your passport photo yourself. Instead, go ahead and spring for a professional. If you’re not sure where to get your picture taken, try one of the following options:

  • A drugstore, such as Walgreen’s or CVS. Most drugstores offer passport photo services, and your prints will usually be available in just a few minutes.

  • Wal-Mart often offers passport photo services in their photo department. You can have your picture taken and shop while they are being printed.

  • Post offices that accept passport applications often offer passport photo services as well.

  • A professional photographer: This is the most expensive option by far, but it guarantees that you will get good service and minimizes the chances of your passport photo coming out like a mug shot.

To ensure that your expedited passport application is processed the first time, make sure that your photos adhere to the Department of State’s guidelines for passport photos before you send them in. For example, don’t go in for your photo wearing a hat or headgear of any sort, unless it’s something you wear everyday for religious reasons. The same thing goes for sunglasses: leave them at home unless you need them for medical reasons. Also, face forward toward the camera and keep your expression natural-this is not a modeling shoot! Double-check the pictures to make sure they are in focus and not overexposed, and ask to have them re-done if they are.

Following these guidelines will maximize the chances of your expedited passport application sailing through without a hitch!

Passport to the Future is a message from God about what is going to happen in the future. Amazingly, Passport to the Future was written in three days by Barry Geistlinger. God revealed everything we need to know to him and his girlfriend July. It reveals what is going to happen to the earth, why it has to happen, and where we are going afterward. It explains how we’re going to get to the new earth and what our new bodies will be like. More significant is why we are here in the first place. The meaning of life is revealed on the last page. Most important is what we have to do to make it happen. Don’t get left behind. Passport to the Future is here to save all of our lives.

Passport Photos, a self-conscious act of artistic and intellectual forgery, is a report on the immigrant condition. A multigenre book combining theory, poetry, cultural criticism, and photography, it explores the complexities of the immigration experience, intervening in the impersonal language of the state. Passport Photos joins books by writers like Edward Said and Trinh T. Minh-ha in the search for a new poetics and politics of diaspora. Organized as a passport, Passport Photos is a unique work, taking as its object of analysis and engagement the lived experience of post-coloniality–especially in the United States and India. The book is a collage, moving back and forth between places, historical moments, voices, and levels of analysis. Seeking to link cultural, political, and aesthetic critiques, it weaves together issues as diverse as Indian fiction written in English, signs put up by the border patrol at the U.S.-Tijuana border, ethnic restaurants in New York City, the history of Indian indenture in Trinidad, Native Americans at the Superbowl, and much more. The borders this book crosses again and again are those where critical theory meets popular journalism, and where political poetry encounters the work of documentary photography. The argument for such border crossings lies in the reality of people’s lives. This thought-provoking book explores that reality, as it brings postcolonial theory to a personal level and investigates global influences on local lives of immigrants.
